When email took off in the 90's, it was used as informal communication compared to formal letters. Through the 00's & 10's it has become a major form of communication. With that in mind many people still sign emails informally and don't create email in the formal format similar to letters. This is acceptable for non-business communication but lesser known is that there are protocols and legislation concerning business emails, regardless of the legal status of the business: sole trader, partnership or limited companies.

Use the auto-signature setting to automatically add your business details. On my emails, everything from my name & contact details and below is an auto-signature and automatically added to all outgoing email.

If you access your email within your internet browser, all email providers have an auto-signature within its settings, please contact your email provider if you cannot find it.

If you access your email on your phone as well as PC, you can often have a different signature depending on the device being used.

If you use an email program (known as an email client) such as MS outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird (free), Windows Live Mail (free), MAC Mail (free), you will be able to create multiple auto-signatures that you can use such as business and personal.
